Content of Course

The courses are divided into 5 different levels (beginners, basic, intermediate, advanced and perfection) with 4 hours of classes per day.

On the first day of class, all students have to take the initial level test consisting of a written and an oral component, and by which students will be placed into the adequate level, in accordance with the student's prior knowledge of the Spanish language.

The classes for the first 3 levels will focus on improving your Spanish skills using an integrated method that combines the many aspects of a communicative approach with a structured learning of grammar and syntax. There will be two classes (each of one hour) focusing on the Spanish language and grammar and two classes where students will practice communicative aspects.

Students in the advanced and perfection levels will have 2 hours of Spanish language and grammar which will focus on the perfection of your Spanish language skills. In the last two hours the higher levels will have special Spanish culture classes that include areas such as: Spanish literature, Spanish history, Spanish cinema, Spanish art, physical and political geography, Spanish economy, commercial Spanish and society and politics.

The culture courses lectures are given by specialists in the given subject at Malaga University. Each course has specific dates and length which will be indicated at the beginning of the program.
