Accommodation
At GSS we offer you three distinct types of accommodation to choose from, and while they are aimed at fulfilling different needs, they all share the quality of being the pick of the crop of student accommodation available, also being well situated and with easy access to the universities. The options you can choose from are: Shared Flats, Home Stay with Spanish Families and your Own Apartment or Studio.
Shared Flats
- This is for you if: You want to meet new people and exchange culture and other experiences with fellow students. You probably also enjoy maintaining a good degree of personal freedom. Shared Flats are a really popular choice amongst students and while co-existing with fellow students will mean working out the daily routines of maintenance with them as well as requiring some degree of responsibility and understanding, the benefits are well worth it.
- Characteristics: The Shared Student Flats, which are the best of their class, are fully furnished 3 - 5 bedroom apartments with a shared kitchen, 1 or 2 shared bathrooms and living room with dining area, sofas and TV.
Host Family
- This is for you if: You're looking for that extra bit of Spanish authenticity. Maybe you want to live and learn Spain and the Spanish way of life to the maximum. It could also be that you just enjoy being looked after. A home stay with a Spanish family is a great way to fully immerse yourself, to enjoy authentic Spanish home-cooking, experience the lifestyle and take advantage of a great way to speed your learning process by using the language in everyday situations with the family.
- Characteristics: Students have their own room and live as part of some of the nicest and friendliest Spanish families available. All meals (full board) are included, as well as laundry service. You will have your own house key so you will have freedom to come and go pretty much as you please.
Student Residence (available in Salamanca)
- This is for you if: If you prefer to live with other students (both Spanish and international) but at the same time like some of the extra services available at a residence (normally there is a cafeteria, laundry and cleaning service, etc).
- Characteristics: The residences we have available in Salamanca is fully equipped with private bathrooms and with either a shared or a private kitchen. The residences also have WIFI Internet connection and a number of common rooms to socialise with the other students.
Own Flat (available upon request for an extra fee)
- This is for you if: You enjoy your freedom and independence. Maybe you only want to share a place with a particular person or partner and no-one else.
- Characteristics: Both apartments and studios are fully furnished, having their own bathroom as well as kitchen. Apartments will have a separate bedroom and living room while Studios have the bedroom and living area combined. All are of first class quality and are well situated, being close to the centre and within walking distance of places of interest and, where applicable, well connected to public transport.
