The courses have been organized for those who wish to study Spanish within the official university setting for a shorter period of time, and also for those who are looking to dabble in the Spanish language as an extracurricular activity.

Who Are Intensive Spanish Courses For?
These courses are ideal for students who would like to significantly improve their Spanish language in a relatively short span of time. The students who attend these courses often vary in background and age range.
The Intensive Spanish Course at CUM
Intensive courses run for 4 hours on a daily basis (a total of 20 hours each week).
Lessons for students with lower levels of Spanish will focus on basic grammar, sentence structure, pronunciation and vocabulary while more attention to improving conversations skills, writing and comprehension will be more of a focus for the more advanced lessons.
There are 4 varying Spanish language class levels offered to the students. Each student will undergo an initial placement test to determine their spanish language level. After which, periodic and consistent evaluation will be implemented throughout the course. One on one tutoring sessions are also available with every course.
The CUM spanish language courses only have, at most, 18 students in each class. The small numbers are to ensure that each student receives adequate individual attention from the teacher. This structure has proven to be successful and efficient in enabling the students to make quick progress in the language.
In addition, the CUM organises extra courses open to students of all levels (although it may be difficult for students of lower levels to follow these classes). These extra courses of 10-45 hours in total touch upon various Spanish cultural themes.
