Madrid Photos: Plaza España
Plaza España is a park in the middle of the city of Madrid with skyscrapers surrounding the area. In the park stands a statue of the famous writer Miguel de Cervantes, who wrote the story of “Don Quichote.” His famous characters of the novel are also eternalized in statues and are situated right below the one of Cervantes. This monument was built in 1928. On sunny days, the park is home to many people that are enjoying the weather, children playing, romantic couples relaxing and artists seeking inspiration. The park itself is very green, with a lot of trees and it has a pool in the middle, next to the monument of Cervantes.
