Salamanca Photos: Old Cathedral
The old Cathedral’s construction dates back to the year of 1140, in which it began. The constructing of the building took more than hundred years and this is why the cathedral features both Romanesque and Gothic elements in its building style. It is famous for the Torre del Gallo (Cock Tower) which is a familiar sight in the skyline of Salamanca. Since the old Cathedral and the new Cathedral are connected, it is possible to enter both through the other.
