Academic Issues
At GSS we take care of all the academic issues involved in signing you up for your requested course at Salamanca University including:
- Tuition and registration with Salamanca University.
- Assistance on the first day of the course.
- Personalized academic advice: academic advice and assistance selecting the program that best suites you, and rescheduling if needed.
- Credits for your studies: assistance in credit transfer.
- Official transcript and diplomas from the university.
General Assistance
An important part of the service offered by GSS is assisting you, our client, at all stages and with all matters related to your study abroad adventure. We are always there when you need our assistance:
- Pre-departure assistance (advice and help choosing the right destination, handbook about your destination, assistance with getting visa if needed, assistance with the pre-credit application process, help finding flight tickets).
- On-site orientation available in Salamanca 2-4 days before the course starts which will help students with the cultural adaptation.
- On-site staff that can assist and support you, no matter what help you may need during your stay in Spain.
- Emergency Contact (24 hours).
Housing
All the accommodation used by GSS has been carefully inspected by our staff. Additionally, we offer all our clients the option to choose exactly the type of accommodation they prefer. You can choose between:
- Host family: A single or double room with a Spanish host family, including full board, in the center of Salamanca.
- Shared student flat: A single room in a student flat, which you will share with other university students, and which is located in the center of Salamanca.
- Student Residence – a single room in student residence located within the he university campus of Miguel de Unamuno.
Social & Cultural Activities
The GSS programs are much more than just the accommodation and courses. We arrange a number of social and cultural activities which are all designed to make sure that our students have a great experience in Spain while at the same time learn about the Spanish culture and practice their Spanish outside of class.
- Weekend trips to destinations like Madrid, Portugal, Andalucia or the Basque Country with hotel, transport, guides and entrance to attractions all included.
- Day trips in and near the city of Salamanca.
- Sport events in collaboration with university organizations at Salamanca University.
- Guided tours in Salamanca to get to know both the cultural and social aspects of this charming city.
- Dinner parties in which we invite you out to try typical Spanish food.
- Night tour to get to know the best establishments in Salamanca.

Airport Pick-up
We will pick you up at the airport in Madrid (the nearest international airport) and take you directly to your accommodation in Salamanca – no fixed arrival time is necessary as the pick-up service is personalized.

- Mobile phone: you will receive a free mobile phone when you arrive which you can use to make and receive calls.

- Free online Spanish courses: students signing up for minimum one Term (3 months) and paying at least 2 months before the starting date will receive a free interactive Spanish On-line course. This way you can start practising before your arrival in Spain.
