Spanish Language and Culture Courses in Malaga
The Spanish Language and Culture Course is a trimester course that starts at the beginning of October, January and April, respectively.
No previous knowledge of Spanish is necessary to participate in this course, and students can either choose to sign up for one, two or three trimesters and this program can also be combined with the summer trimester course.

- Lessons per week: 20 hours per week Monday to Friday (225 classes per term).
- Length of lessons: 55 minutes.
- Schedule: 10am-2pm.
- Students per class: Maximum 15 students per class.
- Minimum Age: 16.

Who Are the Spanish Language and Culture Courses For?
The majority of students that participate in this course are students that have just finished secondary school or university, or are taking a break from their studies to learn Spanish while at the same time earning university credits.
The Spanish Language and Culture Course at Malaga University
The courses are divided into 6 different levels (from complete beginners to perfection) with 4 hours of classes per day. All students are required to sit an initial level test (of both oral and written components) in order to determine their level of Spanish.
The classes for the first 3 levels focus on improving Spanish language skills using an integrated method that combines the many aspects of a communicative approach with a structured learning of grammar and syntax. Two one-hour classes will be dedicate to while two other one-hour classes will have a focus on oral expression.
Students in the advanced and perfection levels will have 2 hours of classes which focus on reinforcing Spanish language skills, with the other two hours that highlight various aspects of Spanish; such as: Spanish literature, Spanish history, Spanish cinema, Spanish art, physical and political geography, Spanish economy, commercial Spanish and society and politics.
The culture courses lectures are given by specialists in the given subject at Malaga University. Each course has specific dates and length which will be indicated at the beginning of the program.
