Summer Spanish Courses in Malaga
Malaga University offers three different types of programs during the summer:
A special monthly summer program, the standard intensive courses and a trimester summer program. The monthly and intensive summer programs are arranged during the months of June, July, August and September and the trimester summer program runs from July to the end of September. The structure of the intensive and trimester programs are very similar to that of the intensive monthly courses and the trimester courses throughout the year.
The special monthly summer program has less class hours per week and more cultural activities outside class hours.

- Credits available: : 6-9 ECTS credits for each monthly course (approx. 4-6 US semester credits) and 22,5 ECTS credits for the trimester course (approx. 15 US semester credits).

This course is for those wanting to combine vacations with learning some Spanish while having a great time. Participants will be able to learn Spanish while having a great time in Spain during the warm summer months!

The Summer Course at Malaga University
Like with the monthly intensive and trimester programs, the summer courses are divided into 6 different levels and have 4 classes per day.
The classes for the first 3 levels focus on improving Spanish language skills using an integrated method that combines the many aspects of a communicative approach with a structured learning of grammar and syntax.
The daily program for the summer course includes 2 hours of Spanish language grammar, 2 hours of speaking practice and listening and reading comprehension. The exact content depends on the levels of the students. The beginner level classes will include basic grammar, vocabulary learning and listening exercises, whereas the higher level classes will include more advanced grammar, student presentation and debates about different subjects.
Aside from offering more classes per week, the intensive course only has 5-8 students per class. This enables each student to have much more individual attention from the professor to enable quicker learning. This is especially true for conversation classes, particularly when compared to courses, such as the semester course, that have up to 18 students per class (like the semester courses) leaving less individualized time to each student.
