Malaga Photos: Alcazaba
The Alcazaba fortress was built by King Badis of Granada in de 11th century. It is being described as an Arab palace fortress and it is situated right on the top of a hill, in the shadow of the higher situated Gibralfaro fortress. Alcazaba is the best preserved Arab citadel in Spain. From the top of the hill you have a great view on the city since it was formerly used as a watch tower by the Arabs. On the southern side of the hill you can find gardens and paths which will lead you past the walls of the fortress and eventually to the top where Gibralfaro is situated. Within the walls you can find a palace and the Archaeological museum.
